Billa kebele, one of the poorest kebeles in the Burji district has a severe lack of clean water sources. At present people and animals get drinking water from the same open seasonal creeks that run 2-3 miles from the village. Children, pregnant women and elderly that drink this water suffer from water born illnesses such as diarrhea. DBCO-Africa is working with the district to address this important need.
